Memorial Day

A day for remembering those who sacrificed for us.. makes me think of my Grandaddy and Grandmommy.. She was a lieutenant nurse and he was a sergeant, and that's how they met. And it makes me think of my Grandpa on my mom's side. All three of them served in World War 2. Also, my uncle David served in the army in Vietnam. I've had a lot of family that served our country. And I never want to be in a place of taking that for granted and forgetting to be grateful.

We had a Teen Challenge picnic @ Hagan Park today.. I haven't been there in years.. It's like once I step over the boarders of the property I'm literally in a time machine. Everywhere I look there's flashbacks and my stomach sinks further down and my heart inches further up my throat. I left early because it was too much. I'm glad my dad understood. But it was really nice to see everyone and visit on such a beautiful day.

Well assuming I can't pick something that would aid my rescue and apart from the obvious choice (my bible), I think I would go mad without being able to make and hear music. So I would ask for a piano :)

I learned my first guitar progression thanks to the great David Awabdeh :)

I've been wanting to learn the guitar for so long but never took the time to do it. Now I have someone willing to spend the time with me and teach me and who lent me a guitar to practice on my own time.

and we're going to play two songs at an open mic night next friday night and hopefully get a booked for 30 minute set :) I'm kinda nervous actually lol (I'll be on the piano of course!)

Also, I get to lead a song this Sunday at Trinity Life Center for the 2nd service. I'm so excited; it's such a gorgeous song. I haven't led a worship song since January and have missed it very much.

ok so my most frequented place changes with the seasons... sometimes it was the beach. sometimes the river. sometimes the park. sometimes a favorite coffee shop, etc. But when I think of the question literally, I spend most of my time in my car lol it's like I live in that thing. This is a picture of when I first got it. It's sure been good to me! :)

Day 46

Day 46 - A picture of where you wish you were right now.

Whenever summer approaches I feel an ache in my heart to be back at Lake Berryessa. My family started going there since I was still in the womb. We stayed in a beautiful home right on the lake that friends of our family let us use when they weren't there. No matter what struggles we were going through we could always get away to the lake and feel whole again. We would lounge around, go fishing, play games, go swimming, etc. We had our own traditions and favorite things to do there.. A couple years ago developers tore down houses.. there was a legal battle for years to prevent this but big business won.. And the place I had hoped to one day bring my own family and share with my own children was gone. But I will always have beautiful memories there and am thankful for the time we were given.

Ok so the room on the left is my brother's old room redone into a guest room (where I sleep). And the room on the right is my original bedroom where I keep most my clothes and get ready and play piano :)

This changes day to day. I don't have a set routine where one thing stands out. I know the Christian answer is to say my time with God is the best part (which is). But I have a feeling the question is more referring to things like "seeing the sunset" or "having my first cup of coffee" or "kissing my significant other" etc etc. Sooo mine depends day to day :) Each day is brand new!

God knew I had a void in my life, not having a sister. Pauline is more than my best friend, she's the sister I always wanted. She's stuck by me, believed in me, and allowed me to be who I am. She brings out my crazy side lol We've been through so much and I love her to death and would do anything for her.
