Everyone's Choice

If I were to truly give my full viewpoint on abortion, it would be over 20 pages long, full of facts about the baby's development in the womb, full of testimonies of people who were supposed to be aborted and weren't and ended up changing the world (like Sarah http://www.prolife.com/SARAH2.HTML) , full of graphic pictures and videos of baby's torn apart or killed from a saline solution, etc.. but I won't go there because they speak for themselves loud and clear.

I do have a couple things to say because this has been weighing on my heart heavily..

I have heard, over the years, a common argument. It pretty much states that if the "fetus" is too young to feel pain, then it's technically not murder.

Following this logic, if I smother a coma patient and they can't feel the pain of dying, is it still murder? Or if I shoot someone point blank in the face and they die instantly without pain, is it still murder? And if that's murder and abortion isn't, then what defines murder?

Then, ofcourse, every argument about abortion boils down to when life begins. And all the facts point to the painfully obvious conclusion that life begins on the cellular level at conception. Every genetic code for a whole person is present and already growing. It's a person with a soul and a spirit. There body just hasn't fully grown yet.

I stumbled across a story on facebook with the below picture that impressed me. It's not particularly witty but it does make you stop and think:

"Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 year old and I'm pregnant again. I don't want kids so close together.'

So the doctor said: 'Ok and what do you want me to do?'

She said: 'I want you to end my pregnancy, and I'm counting on your help with this.'

The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: 'I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less dangerous for you too.'

She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.

Then he continued: 'You see, in order for you not to have to take care of 2 babies at the same time, let's kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we're going to kill one of them, it doesn't matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.'

The lady was horrified and said: 'No doctor! How terrible! It's a crime to kill a child!'

'I agree', the doctor replied. 'But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.'

The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.

He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that's already been born and one that's still in the womb. The crime is the same!

Love says, 'I sacrifice myself for the good of the other person.' Abortion says, 'I sacrifice the other person for the good of myself.'

Now I know there are certain situations like someone who gets pregnant in a horrible living situation, or through rape, or there's a health risk, or they're in fear of their life because it's culturally unacceptable. I understand that, but no matter what the circumstance, even if it was no fault of your own, there's ALWAYS another option besides abortion. And even though they're might be some external ramifications from choosing life, there will be horrible emotional and spiritual ramifications from choosing death. Pro Choice rally's for the right to choose, yet they are in favor of taking away the voice and rights of the innocent, which collapses in on their argument and goal.
No matter what way it's rationalized, abortion is wrong in EVERY situation.

Choose life.
